What is an Annual Report and is it the same as a tax return?

Not at all. An Annual Report is a state compliance filing — it confirms your business is still active and your details are current. It has nothing to do with your income or taxes. A tax return is filed with the IRS. We handle your Annual Report — for tax filings, you'll need a CPA.

What happens if I miss my Annual Report deadline?

Your state will typically issue a warning, then impose late fees. If the filing remains outstanding, your business can be suspended or face administrative dissolution of your company. Reinstatement is possible in most states but costs significantly more than filing on time.

Does every state require an Annual Report?
